LINK HOUSE
Project Name: Link House Project Type: Single-Family Dwelling Apartment Location: Taipei, Taiwan Floor Area: 1,200 SF Height: 1 Floor Completion Year: 2025 Design Team: Daniel Yao, Jarrett Boor, Bing-Yu Yu, Luke Hu
Link House was conceived as a calm, highly legible living environment for a retired couple seeking ease, clarity, and long-term comfort. The design prioritizes visual and physical connectivity across the apartment, organizing daily life around a continuous kitchen–dining core that anchors the home. Built-in cabinetry, integrated appliances, and concealed storage reduce visual clutter while allowing everything to remain within easy reach. A restrained palette of warm wood, soft white surfaces, and diffuse lighting creates a quiet backdrop that supports aging in place without feeling clinical, emphasizing dignity, familiarity, and simplicity.
Versatility and adaptability guided every decision. Spaces flow into one another without hierarchy, allowing the apartment to shift effortlessly between everyday routines, hosting, and quiet retreat. Custom millwork defines zones without walls, maintaining openness while subtly organizing function. Lighting is layered and warm, reinforcing orientation and comfort throughout the day. The result is a home that feels intuitive and connected—one where movement is effortless, storage is purposeful, and the architecture quietly supports an organized, flexible lifestyle tailored to this next chapter of living.
